Albert Dabah – Manager/Owner
Albert has owned and operated Simba Productions since its inception in 1979. Originally called Video Portfolios Productions, he later renamed the company Simba Productions after his majestic Golden Retriever.
Albert’s background is in psychology, theater and film. In his early twenties, he worked as a psychotherapist with adults and teenagers, individually and in groups. His theater background includes acting in off-broadway theater productions and many one-act plays. Acting in several films lead him into the world of video in the late seventies, where he had the opportunity to work with notable directors and actors such as Martin Scorcese, Ron Howard, Milos Foreman, John Waters, Ridley Scott, Henry Winkler, Paul Newman, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon and Tom Cruise.
Integrating these disciplines and experiences, he uses his expertise to produce videos and films for a diverse range of clientele in many industries. His years of experience in New York City video production have provided a wealth of knowledge and industry know-how, which he uses to guide a team of young, talented and energetic producers, camera operators, sound technicians and editors.
As manager of Simba Productions Inc, Albert oversees the company’s productions and spearheads the creative pre-production meetings and brain-storming sessions integral to Simba’s success. He takes pride in his work and relishes producing creative content for his clients and always strives to keep up with the latest industry trends. Meeting the needs of the companies that are looking to promote, document, send messages or just tell a compelling story to move viewers are his main goals. Currently, he is in pre-production on two feature films: “Extra Innings” and “King of Peeps.”
